A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to nonexistent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk email messages, but this problem can be fixed by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming emails to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you have a Linux cloud hosting service with us and you wish to activate the catch-all functionality for a given e-mailbox that you’ve got in the account, it will take literally only a click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have created under any domain name registered in your account. You can select one address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature momentarily, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notice and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply select a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than one click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you create with any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated hosting account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click that icon. In the very same manner you will be able to disable the feature, in case you do not need it anymore. Our system will inform you if you are trying to enable a second catch-all email address for a certain domain or in case there is activated email forwarding, but it’ll never modify or deactivate anything automatically and without your approval.
